$ 8.00  includes sandwich, chips, and a cookie.

Sandwiches will be available after the 4:00 Mass

 

Community Day

Trumbull North Catholic Communities will be participating in the Community Day of Hope sponsored by the Diocese of Youngstown Catholic Charities.  The event will take place on November 15, 2025 at St. Theresa of Calcutta Parish.  St. William will be collecting 150 of each of the following items:

  • Travel-size hand lotion/moisturizer
  • Feminine hygiene products (pads or tampons)
  • Nail clipper/nail kit
  • Lip balm/ChapStick
  • OR monetary donations so that these products can be purchased

Please Note:  Only the items listed above are to be collected.

Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults

The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for adults will be held on Sunday, November 16 at 4:00 p.m. at Saint Columba Cathedral.  This is a special opportunity for anyone (age 18 and older) who has not received the sacrament to join with others of the diocese.  Candidates must register with our parish and be eligible to receive the sacrament by verifying baptism and marital status.  A preparation program will be held at our parish and sponsors must be a baptized, confirmed, practicing Catholic.  A sponsor may not be the candidate’s parent.  Contact the parish office for more details to register and verify eligibility to receive the sacrament.

CHOW QUIZ NIGHT

Reminder, Cortland Humanitarian Outreach Worldwide will have a Quiz Night Sept. 20, 2025 at St. Robert Church at 7:00 p.m. following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. Mass.  Contribution is $10.00 and includes sloppy joes, snacks, beverages and fun.  Please RSVP by emailing chowohio@gmail.com.   If you don’t have 5-8 people to make a team, come anyway and teams will be formed so all can play. 

Proceeds will be used to continue CHOW’s work delivering clothing, household goods, food and backpacks filled with school supplies to Grahn School Community Center in Grahn, KY.  Please bring any small toiletry items you’ve collected from hotels: shampoo, lotion, soap, etc. to put in the backpacks we will take in the fall.

Please join us for a fun night of trivia, food, fellowship and laughs.  We hope to see you on September 20.

 

25th, 40th, 50th and over Wedding Anniversary Celebration

The Diocese of Youngstown is sponsoring a Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist in Canton, honoring couples celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th and over wedding anniversaries in 2025.  The Mass includes a renewal of marriage vows and a personalized certificate for each couple.  Bishop Bonnar will be the main celebrant and following Mass there will be a reception for couples and their families.  Reservations are required for this event and can be made by contacting the Parish Office before September 29, 2025.

 

St. Robert Rummage Sale

St. Robert rummage sale will be held on Friday, October 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Saturdays sale will include half-off large items and two dollars per bag.  Hot lunch will be served as well as pop and coffee.

We will start accepting donations on Monday, October 20 through Thursday, October 23.  Drop-off time is 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  We will accept clean and lightly used clothing as well as household items.  Please no electronics.  We will accept bake sale donations on Thursday.

 

SVdP Steps of Hope Walk/Run

St. Vincent de Paul Northeast Ohio District is once again holding the Steps of Hope Walk/Run (formerly Friends of the Poor Walk) on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Perkins Park in Warren, Ohio.  Activities begin at 10:00 a.m. Step-off at 11:00 a.m.  Register at SVdPNEO.org.

 

Annual Faith & Family Festival

A day of fun and fulfillment for families, students and friends will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Fred Fuller Park, 601 Middlebury Rd. in Kent, Ohio. The free event will include Mass with Bishop Bonnar and feature guest speaker, Emily Jaminet. Musical acts by John Reese Trio and Michael Leckfor.  There will be activities for kids, young people, and families.

 

Offering Envelopes

Boxed sets of offertory envelopes are ready for pickup here at St. William.  Envelope boxes were available November-January in the vestibule – If you missed the window of opportunity to pick up your box please call the parish office.

Bulletin Deadlines

Beginning January 7, the bulletin will  now be printed by LPi and shipped to the church weekly.  As a result the deadline for submitting materials to the bulletin will change.  The new deadline for submitting materials will now be Thursday at 12:00 noon the week before the material is to be printed.  For example, if you want something printed in the January 7 bulletin, it must be turned in to the office no later than December 28 or if you want something in the January 14 bulletin the deadline is January 4 (that is a full 10 days!)  If you have any questions, please call the parish office.
