Fish Dinners

As we begin a time of Lenten reflection and look towards renewal, consider coming to Saint William Catholic Church in Champion, OH for fellowship, community, and most importantly–fish…delicious baked or fried. We  prepare meals every Friday during Lent. The Fish Fry is all about community. Over the last decade plus, people have gathered, friendships have been made, faith has been shared, and a whole lot of fish has been fried! We look forward to seeing you!

The Saint William Fish Fry began in 1986 and has been a vibrant and delicious place for the community to meet. We are a volunteer run, community fish fry.

In 2020, St. William Church made the decision to “Go Green” and transition to environmentally friendly materials for our annual Lenten Fish Dinners.  To the best of our abilities, we have endeavored to eliminate Styrofoam and non-recyclable plastic materials.  To assist us in switching over to recyclable and compostable materials we have partnered with many of our local businesses in Champion and surrounding areas.  The sponsorships purchased by these local businesses help to underwrite the cost of environmentally friendly materials.  We are so proud of our sponsors that we advertise their generosity throughout the Lenten fish dinner season.  Help us to increase our stewardship of the earth one plate and one cup at a time and help us to thank our sponsors by frequenting their businesses.
