Safe Environment Protocols

As we continue our efforts to continue to provide a safe environment for worship you are kindly reminded of the following:

  • Face-coverings are to be worn for Mass by all in attendance.
  • Please remember to maintain a safe distance (at least 2 empty seats) between you and others when attending Mass.
  • When finding your seat for Mass, please move to the center of the row  so others can fill in the same row without having to pass by.
  • Please maintain a safe distance (at least 1 row in front and behind you) when coming forward to receive Holy Communion.
  • Remember to remove your face covering before receiving Holy Communion to ensure proper reverence and avoid the possibility of dropping the host.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience!  Together help us maintain a safe environment for all attending!

Prayer for a New Bishop

As we anticipate the appointment of a new Bishop for our Diocese the following prayer has been created as we await a new shepherd:

Almighty God, eternal shepherd and guide,
in your love for us,
grant to the Diocese of Youngstown
a shepherd who will lead us to be Christ’s
heart of mercy,
voice of hope, and hands of justice.
Help him to fill our minds and hearts
with the truth of the Gospel,
the power of the sacraments
and the desire to build up your holy Church.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

RCIA….Have you…..

…been worshipping with us but never officially took the step to become Catholic?
…been away from the Church…and now have returned but want to know more?
…yet to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation or Eucharist?
…joined us from a different background and would like to find out more about the Catholic Church?
…felt God leading you and want to find out where that might be?

If any of the above applies to you, or if you know of anyone who could answer YES to any of these questions, we would love to help you on your journey!  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults seeking answers in their lives are brought into full union with our parish community and the Catholic Church.  The RCIA provides a spiritual opportunity to learn and discuss various aspects of the Catholic faith and its practices.  If you or someone you know might be interested in learning more, please contact Fr. Balash at the Parish Office for more information.  Tentative start date is Monday, October 12 at St. Thomas Church, Vienna.
